Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
STORY:
Snake is back. Starting out as Snake, you must complete a few missions and escape from jail to recruit more people for your unit. The game features several characters and weapons that are usable at your expense.The objective of the game is rather simple, find and destroy the metal gear project. Overall this game is very entertaining and I recommend it to all PSP owners.
GAMEPLAY:
The gameplay of portable ops is amazing. From hand to hand combat, to using any type of weapon. The game makes use of the PSP's controls well. It's not just killing enemies, you can also temporarily stun them or interrogate them from a choke hold. You can drag your opponent to be capture, or be innovative with the advanced AI.
Single Player Mode:
Single player mode offers a lot for this game. With a great storyline and several outstanding features its hard to be disappointed. This mode keeps you occupied with a lot of missions. The missions consist of certain goals such as capturing an enemy soldier, finding weapons, battling bosses, and much much more.
Multiplayer Mode:
Well, I haven't tried it yet but I heard that it can handle 1 to 6 players. It has different types of multiplayer matches you can choose from like deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture mission, and team capture mission. The game also features a few added on bonuses in this mode such as the ability to retreat, surrender with a white flag, salute your opponent, and interact with your team using the pre-set radio conversations.
CONTROLS:
Like I said above, the game makes use of the PSP's controls well. So in no time you'll be able to playing the game with ease.
GRAPHICS:
These screenshots just speak for themselves. The graphics in this game really shows the PSP's capabilities to produce great graphics. The landscapes of the levels are huge and their display is nice and sharp throughout the entire game. There are a few tiny glitches here and there but I really don't mind them. Nothing is perfect, right?
SOUNDS:
The game does not feature any types of custom tracks, the music in the game is very good. If the fighting gets intense the music will switch to a more rapid beat and if your sneaking around the music will be a bit less frequent and loud. The voices of the characters are put in very nicely and each weapon used makes a specific, one of a kind, noise when fired. So I guess it not so boring, just imagine if all your guns sound the same.
